Erin Joy

My poor Erin Joy was stuck in the lift today.

We were going home in the evening and we took that 'ko-yat' lift up to the 11th floor. The door opened and I walked out with Erin following very closely behind me. But to my horror, the lift door just closed on her, leaving me outside and her inside!! I kept pressing the button but the door just refused to open. The lift was just stuck at the 11th floor, and my little girl was wailing inside asking mummy to open the door for her. I was so helpless! Looking at her crying and screaming and can't do anything.
My neighour went down to the 1st floor to try to get the lift down, but the lift just wouldn't go down. After about 3 mins, the lift suddenly decided to go down. Erin looked at me disappearing before her and wailed even louder. How my heart aches!
I went down in another lift but I missed her. The lift went up again with Erin inside. Throughout I could hear her screams. Finally I caught up with her on the floor again and that bloody lift door opened.
I gave her the biggest hug ever.
2 of us were so traumatised. She must be so scared when she went down in the lift all alone.
